Across Canada, French-speaking communities are ready to welcome you

Activities

Each year, the Francophone and Acadian communities organize several rounds of information sessions for employers on international recruitment. Organized in partnership with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) offices abroad and with the support of the Government of Canada, these information sessions provide employers with practical information on how to recruit bilingual skilled workers abroad.

Information sessions in Canada: Support for recruiting abroad

Representatives from IRCC offices in Paris, Rabat and Dakar will be travelling to Canada to meet with Canadian employers and professional associations in British Columbia, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Manitoba and Ontario from September 25 to October 6. This is an excellent chance to learn more about the candidate pools abroad that may have the skills you are looking for and the services available year-round, free of charge from public agencies for employment and international mobility. An overview of Canada’s immigration programmes, including Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exempt work permits under the new Mobilité francophone stream, will be provided. These sessions will also feature information about Destination Canada Job and Mobility Fair to be held in Paris November 14-16 and in Brussels November 18. At Destination Canada, you can meet over 800 candidates a day invited to the job fair based on the skills sought after by Canadian employers. Many of the candidates will already have work permits or will be eligible for LMIA exempt work permits. There is no cost to employers or recruiters to participate.
